Colour is medicine for mood boosting, therapy for the mind….
I create what I feel, the colours make me so happy. I love the movement of the paint and the texture of the crayons. The feel of the paper and the velvety appearance of the pastels working together. I love it all, and so will you when you make art with me.
Upcoming workshop
Woohoo a new workshop!
In this new workshop we will create two pieces of art, and learn a whole bunch of fun mixed media techniques.
I will show you my process I use to create my Reef and floral Atlas paintings.
We will look at design and placement, colour combinations and layers.
This is a fun workshop using lots of lovely supplies and creating a vibrant work of art to take home.
All materials will be supplied. Just bring an apron incase you get painty.
This is an all day workshop from 9.30am-3.30pm with a short lunch break. You may bring your own lunch and drinks ( there is a fridge ) or purchase from the onsite Cafe.
No experience is necessary. This is not a class for children, you must be 16+ or please contact me privately.
This workshop is for anyone that loves colour and creating. Make friends, enjoy some creative time and learn something new.
This workshop is in person at Studio 2, Bribie Island Community Arts Centre, Banksia Beach, Bribie Island.
You will be emailed the week prior to the workshop with more details.

Workshops are held on beautiful Bribie Island, accessible by car across a bridge from the mainland. Located about 50kms from Brisbane.
The studio
Studio 2 is a cute light filled space located within the Bribie Island Community Arts Centre at Banksia Beach.
Demos
I do lots of demonstrations in class and share with you my process and supplies to create what I do. Colour is my inspiration.

Immerse yourself in your new surroundings. Watch demonstrations and be introduced to my world of colour and fun supplies.10.00-12.00
Create your masterpieces with yvette’s step by step instructions.12.00-12.30
Take a break, have some lunch either in the workshop or outside in the beautiful garden setting, complete with a few scrub turkeys.12.30-3.30
Continue with your journey of joyful colour and finish off your masterpieces. -
